Privacy Policy
Effective July 4, 2026
Dookr provides software for pooper-scooper businesses in the United States — scheduling, routing, a field-tech app, a public business page, and automatic billing. This policy explains what data we handle, why, and who we share it with. It applies to our website and the Dookr application.
In this policy, “operator” means a business that uses Dookr, and “their customer” means a household or property the operator serves. For most data an operator enters, the operator is the controller of that data and Dookr acts as their processor.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details— the operator’s email, business name, and the URL slug for the public page.
- Business data you enter — customers, addresses, services, schedules, visits, notes, and photos of completed work.
- Leads— the name, contact details, and message a visitor submits through an operator’s public quote form.
- Payment details — collected and stored by Stripe, not by Dookr (see Payments below).
Information we collect automatically
- Usage & device data — pages viewed, actions taken, browser and device type, and a request identifier, used to run and improve the product.
- Marketing attribution — if you arrive from a campaign link, we store the UTM parameters, the referring site, and the landing page in a first-party cookie (
dookr_attr, 30 days). If you then create an account, we attach that attribution to the new account so we understand how operators find us. You can clear this cookie at any time.
How we use data
- To provide the service — scheduling, routing, billing, and the public page.
- To process payments and send the transactional emails those actions require.
- To secure accounts, prevent abuse, and debug problems.
- To understand how the product is used and how people discover it, so we can improve it.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use an operator’s customer data to advertise to those customers.
Service providers
We share data with a small set of vendors that help us run Dookr:
- Stripe— payment processing and payouts (operator subscriptions and the card-on-file charges an operator’s customers make).
- Supabase — our database, authentication, and file storage. Every row is scoped to a single operator and isolated by row-level security.
- Mapbox — maps and route optimization for the schedule and field app.
- Resend — delivery of transactional email (magic links, invites, lead and billing notifications).
- PostHog — product and marketing analytics.
Each vendor receives only the data needed for its function and is bound by its own agreement with us.
Payments
Card details are entered directly into Stripe and are handled under Stripe’s PCI-DSS compliance. Dookr does not see or store full card numbers. We keep the non-sensitive records Stripe returns — such as the last four digits, a payment status, and Stripe’s identifiers — so we can show billing history and reconcile payouts.
Photos of completed work
When a tech completes a visit they may attach a photo as proof of service. Operators and the relevant customer can see those photos. We store the original privately and generate a cleaned copy for any shared view.
Data retention
We keep account and business data for as long as an operator’s account is active. If an account is closed, we delete or de-identify its data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access between operators is isolated at the database level by row-level security, so one operator cannot read another’s data. We restrict internal access to what is needed to operate and support the service.
Your choices
Operators can access, correct, export, or delete the data in their account from within the app or by contacting us. If you are the customer of an operator and want to change or remove your information, contact that operator directly, since they control that record; we will assist them on request.
Children
Dookr is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We will update this policy as the product changes and will revise the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email.
